Website Hosting

The University provides private website hosting services for UniKey account holders. This hosting is enabled via the addition of the "Unix" option to an account, or by increasing the "Disk Space" quota of the account to 10 Mb or more. This can be done via the add/remove options section of our Your Account section (pricing information available here. Websites provided in this manner take the form

http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~Username

(where Username is the user's UniKey username).

Files can be uploaded to the site using the ftp server

ftp://ftp.usyd.edu.au

and should be placed in the public-html directory. You should also ensure that the file permissions are set to world readable.
