Email Guides
There are currently two UniKey email systems in use by staff in the university. To access either of these systems you must use your UniKey username and password, if you are not sure what these are, go to Your Account. These two systems are:
- Exchange email is a new email system from Microsoft. This service is in the process of being rolled out to the departments of the University. At this stage, some departments do not have Exchange email accounts available to them.
- Central email is available to all UniKey account holders. In the cases of departments that have migrated to Exchange email, the central email accounts can be set to forward email automatically to the staff member's Exchange account.
Enterprise Vault is an E-Mail storage application used in conjunction with your Microsoft Exchange Mailbox to help you manage your University E-Mail.
If you are not certain whether you have an Exchange email account, please contact the Helpdesk for confirmation.
Exchange email can be accessed in two ways:
- The University's Exchange Webmail service.
- Via an email client program. This is only possible from computers that are connected to the University's network. The two email clients which currently support the Exchange format are Microsoft Outlook and Entourage.
